IDS 2023 ‑ Just in time for the 100th International Dental Show, smart optics launches a new 3D scanner onto the market
BOCHUM – Since 1923, the International Dental Show has been inviting visitors to the world’s largest industry meeting of its kind, this year from March 14 – 18, 2023. smart optics will present the latest generation of its famous 3D scanners as well as a completely new scanner, the mini, at the Cologne Exhibition Center (Hall 1.2, Stand C050).
The smart optics team agrees that the new scanner is a real coup, because the fully automatic 3D desktop scanner mini from smart optics is fast, silent, affordable and sophisticated. In addition to the common dental indications, which are carried out precisely, the open 3D scanner made in Germany allows users to act quickly in the scanning area. By removing the swivel axis, space is created to insert an articulator for vestibular scanning, for example. With a precision of < 6µm, professionals and beginners alike can produce accurately in-house at favorable conditions.
The basic module of the 3D scanner is already designed to include the most important indications for prosthetics as well as orthodontics. A 2-year warranty is also included. The mini has a modular design and can be expanded as required.
Of course, the mini from the Bochum-based company has an interface to both exocad® and the OnyxCeph³™ orthodontic software.
