BOCHUM – For the very first time, smart optics will be present with two exhibition stands at the IDS, which is being held from 21st – 25th March in Cologne. On Stands L030 M031 and M038 N039 in Hall 04.2, the company will surprise its visitors with the new Vinyl 3D scanner and the dental Scan 3.0 user software.

The Vinyl convinces through precision, speed, durability and its enormous range of functions and is therefore extremely well suited for ambitious laboratories. With its 180 degree opening, the Vinyl provides superb operating convenience. The large system plate of the scanner allows condyle-related scanning of articulated jaw models with articulators from Artex®, Baumann®, Gamma® and SAM®. The improved motor control ensures smooth and fast motor travel which automatically moves the object to be scanned into the measuring field, so that the familiar screwing on of spacer plates is a thing of the past. The slip-free rubber mat on the system plate provides for stable standing, which is slightly reminiscent of the table of a record player, hence inspiring the name Vinyl.

The dental Scan 3.0 user software focuses on a modern and clear design. Improved algorithms to the software allow for faster processing and greater productivity in the laboratory. Various scanning modes, such as secondDie, multiDie and the support of the color texture scanner, which operates independent of the scanner model, all make their contribution. The 3D viewer offers different presentation modes and supports work conveniently.

Next to the exhibition space itself, smart optics not only offers a lounge area for exhibition visitors but also receives charming support from the “Pico Bellos” comedian and show professionals.
