	System-independent 3D Scanner for dental technology.

		Activity 80 is an optical 3D-Scanner for high precision digitizing of jaw models. The scanner provides an electronic data file which represents a 3-dimensional image of the model. These data can be used for computerized design of artificial dentition. Therefore, Activity 80 is an indispensable part of any dental CAD/CAM manufacturing process. Based on a strategy of merging of optical 3D measurements the restoration is measured under different viewing angles at high resolution. The positioning of the individual measurements is done fully automatically based on position encoders that report the position of the measuring head so that the 3 dimensional position of each individual measurement is immediately known to the software. Thus the measurements are ready to be merged together to obtain a data set at highest precision to details. Due to the patented fringe pattern projection with high power long-life LEDs the optical system has no coherent noise and therefore has a superior accuracy compared with laser based scanners.

The scanner Activity 80 is equipped with a 2 axis positioning system. It allows to both tilt and rotate the object to be scanned relatively to the measuring head. The rotary axis is motor supported which enables an automatic step by step positioning and measurement of the objects.

The rotation axis has an option to use a motor-driven mode to add six measurements at steps of 60° of the rotation axis.

At the front of the unit there is a small key pad which gives quick access to start a measurement and to start a six-fold measurement.
